Rict, a royal court mage, joined the crown prince’s Hero party to conquer dungeons, only to be cast out by the prince’s prejudice. Stripped of his title and exiled from the kingdom, he found comfort in Flare, his childhood friend from the same orphanage.

What was meant to be a quiet journey with the girl he loved soon changed, because the world could not ignore the strongest barrier mage, the man who had long protected the kingdom alone.
Meanwhile, the crown prince lost Rict’s powerful barrier, grew weaker, and fell into ruin… Even if he begs now, Rict has no intention of returning.

Log In to Commentif you find it familiar - it's a remake of "From Useless to Peerless: A Barrier Mage's Journey" so many differences between the two that you can hardly recognize it.
the art is bad, but at least its funny
The title is fr, MC is a slice of life aura glazer.
Besides the point that the MC seems to be a absolute tool, a decent read
