Log In to Commentthe Japanese definitely don't know how to make fantasy worlds (at least the vast majority of mangakas, there are always exceptions)
And they don't know how to make fantasy characters, well, characters in general. It's all childish and exaggerated (interactions, reactions....) (I guess that's becasuse, mangakas consume certain type of entertainment and the way they lives in general, unsocial people and funny Japanese TV shows, well, anyone who has seen one, knows what I mean). The drawing and characterization of characters is also childish/immature, and on top of that it gives the feeling in this case that the MC is Japanese (when he is supposed to be someone from a fantasy world) and as always, with 0 charisma and the most cliché possible (wanting a "quiet" life, not wanting to stand out or do something renowned, that is, 0 ambition and in the end they end up with a harem without personality due to more than forced situations. All this, most likely with character whitening in case the MC has to make a difficult decision (such as killing an enemy who clearly deserves it or is necessary) so that, in the eyes of the viewer, he is like a good child who does not has shit in his life)
To top it off, they even use Japanese expressions like "onichan" that doesn't fit in a fantasy world even with a tail. The only thing missing was for the protagonist to be called "Yuuto" or some Japanese name (Although they have already made his physical design, the usual classic, what I call "Kirito", literally your average normal Japanese)
The funniest thing of all is that what they complain about as a "cliche", the fact of being a hero, having responsibilities, determination and ambition, is so little used in today's Japanese isekai mangas, that it is no longer a cliche, in fact, the opposite is what has become cliche
Sorry for the bad english
So many locked chapters, dang. Its a mix bag till then story and writing wise.
half chapters pay per view?
