Born as a member of the Altoin, a race known as the “Demon Clan,” Shan is treated like a slave by the villagers. When mysterious mercenaries attack the village, he massacres them and awakens his true talent. Through a man named Roden whom he meets by chance, Shan discovers that even an Altoin can become a knight. Finally freed from oppression, the boy experiences freedom for the first time and sets his sights on a future beyond freedom itself… a future as a knight.
