    I agree. The individual committed a crime and tried to harm the MC. He should’ve been punished accordingly. The author is trying too hard to make the image of the MC clean and spotless….to the point of being naive and absurd. It also reinforces the stereotype that easterner's are timid and weak. This manga seems to be another “fail”.

    I hate these situations.
    yes, hiring people in poverty is the best for reducing their likelihood of committing crimes. However, you cant just skip the punishment for committing crimes - he is rewarding him for committing the crime with 0 consequence
