He could just have said his skill was slot, it doesn’t seem too op and he could use it as an excuse if he ever has to open the gate in front of anyone
Wouldn’t work realistically that’s monstrously powerful utility wise in a world all about survival and hed have to show them eventually leading to them finding out more about it its better the way it ended here with him still distancing himself. He probably doesnt want them to rely on him either like he stated earlier
Honestly I was thinking the same thing. Not only is it not an outright lie (it is, after all, an ability directly part of his trait) but claiming to have Attack Prediction could backfire in the event he’s around them and some enemy with an unexpected skill or ability manages to get a hit in on him. If anybody sees that happen he’d be in a position of possibly having to explain why he got hit, so more lying on top of it.
Apart from that my one large issue is the metal decaying effect; although the concept is really cool and all, it seems as though the author doesn’t realize we (humans) have several elemental metals in our body, roughly 2.5% of our mass in fact. Calcium is the most abundant, followed by potassium. Both of those are absolutely vital to us not dying. Calcium is important for bone and tooth strength, as well as regulating electrical impulses in our nerves and brain. Potassium is needed for heart function and neuron firing. If all the calcium and potassium in our body entered a state of rapid decay we’d be dead in no time… Presumably the “metal” the author means in the story is only the external solid object kind of metals, like weapons, rebar, etc.. but I’m a bit pedantic about things sometimes, and there being no mention or explanation of “metal” not including literally all metal kind of irked me.
or inventory… he have it too right?
