“Child Soldier” is another poor choice of words. While a step up from “Boy Soldier”, and might be literally correct depending on the raw, it gives the wrong meaning. A “Child Soldier” is not a young cadet or trainee, but a victim of illegal conscription below the age of consent. It’s a turn of phrase with negative connotations.
From her revealed history, Meiba would count as a child soldier, but the use of the term by the guard as a blanket term for all of the trainees makes no sense. Especially when you consider that she is undercover.
…sorry for all these comments on past chapters, but while I appreciate what the team here is doing, every time I see an error like this it really takes me out of enjoying the material. One or two errors are understandable – we’re all human – but these are consistent problems happening in multiple chapters of multiple projects throughout the site. It’s not a good look if you’re trying to show the value of paying for the locked material.
