the sad thing is that MC is the only one who can unite them, though it will come with a bit of bloodshed. He has the mind, the skills, and the infamy, all he needs to do is get back in the game, take down some of his ex-comrades with hopefully minimal casualties, and make them come together.
As it stands, Korea is hollow, they create these shitty half-assed attempts to use cheap, disposable labour they extect to disppear, leaving many innocents to die while thier forces go off to fight who knows what, or hide on Jeju. There’s still a big possibility of reform and salvation for their nation, but it needs to be a big leap, bringing both the army and psychics, at least.
This all started because the military split and favoured the psychics over regular humans to such an extent that humans became no more than cleaners. Forgot North Korea’s nukes, forget the mutated monsters, and forget the endless hordes of aliens. Each threat lacks proper military structure, and they are only biting at humanity’s heels, which has somehow caused us to collapse, exposing differences that factions grew till organisations formed that couldn’t work cohesively as a whole group.
If MC can make reforms and spearhead disasters, even though he lets his comrades go down wrong paths or die, the nation, and possibly the world, can be saved. All he needs to do is make his intentions known and he’ll instantly gain people by his side who are compelled by his willingness to get back in the fight, giving him the momentum to strike others where it hurts, taking the surrendered and decapitated forces under his banner.
From there, MC can try to integrate other forces, like animals or civilians trying to rebuild society, creating strongholds and spawning grounds to be used against the aliens.
In an ideal scenario, MC could gain America’s support, using their aid to resecure Korea, expanding safe zones across all the islands and parts of the peninsula. He might have to overthrow the complacent government, but that shouldn’t be too hard, given a natural resentment toward failing leaders.
