I genuinely could never understand why this trope exists, (I know it’s for the sake of moving the story along), like realistically you wouldn’t actually treat your friends like this, and also they all can’t be this dense not to realize everything he’s done for them: “till it’s too late”, sorry i just had to vent my frustration on the trope, I’m probably a hypocrite cause i still enjoy reading these weak to strong series, especially if MC gets revenge on them.
