Well. In most case, Novel are way better then comic or manga.
In regarding Reverend Insanity, The web novel is a must read. If you having trouble getting into Reverend Insanity early chapter of novel, just read the manhua that available (I guess 60 chapter or so) and then read the novel.
The volume one can feel like slow because it create Fang Yuan personality and character development when he was still very weak. so you will know that, plot don’t carry him but his effort.
