If that was one stage to power up mana heart how come now one knows that? And looking at how you need “achievements” To create saga to level up mana heart, mana chain sound superior with it’s clear power ups map…
Seems like mana chain is better for mediocre swordsmen and mana heart is better for the elites. Most people are mediocre or worse, so ‘everyone uses mana chain’ could easily become conventional wisdom as generations went by.
