Honestly, I really feel like MC didn’t try to use his skill properly. He only mentioned that he cant sell copied equipment, because once he let them go, they disappear. But whats stopping him to use them himself? Copy a magic staff with a fireball skill and use them until it break. What about potions? Isn’t there any potion that can increase your stats by 1? copy it and drink it.. I feel like he didn’t try anything apart from infinite mana?

If you’ve read any other story before, you’d know that the MC is weak at the start to highlight their growth further on.
Give it 10 chapters at least.
He did mention that copied skills require materials, and copied equipment still means he needs to meet the equipment’s requirements.
It’s likely that he doesn’t meet such requirements for a magic staff or any other half-decent gear he has access to.
That’s why he’s gunning for that powerful sword, since he’ll have access to it only because it’s nearly broken, and it has low requirements.
That being said, you’re right about the potions; If he joined that production team, he surely could’ve copied some potions to drink, then do some raids in the evening with his growing power to level to 30 to get that sword.
It seems like he has an inferiority complex that’s preventing him from thinking of creative uses for his power that everyone else is telling him is useless.
Hopefully he grows out of that. ’tis chapter 1, after all.
