Why are their characters ok with just being lied to and manipulated and giving one sided benefits to others in a world explicitly designed to take advantage of that and kill them? This doormat shit is annoying and pathetic, just like the hand rubbing the back of his head emote they all spam in every panel.
The fact that she's perfectly ok with prying into and exposing his personal information, and asking him personal questions she is clearly using against him, but she in turn is unwilling to sincerely respond to his questions and be open about her personal information, means she is untrustworthy. They are not acting as equals in this relationship.
He should immediately be able to clock that social dynamic as dangerous for him, because he doesn't know what she's hiding or her motivations for hiding it. However, he does know she's dishonest, insincere, and manipulative in her interactions with him simply from how he's being open and cooperative and she isn't. That on its own is enough to cut losses and bail on the whole thing.
However, this is a Japanese comic, which means none of this is a consideration at all and he'll just smile and go along with anything she says, not push back at all, and just be a doormat because cute or whatever.
