ugh… again with the “i must hide it…” . DUDE! There is not a single character with enough intellect in this story to discover the mc’s secret. Just treat that shiet as a secondary point instead of bringing it allways to the main story… Ya all are teaching useless things to the next generations.
Especially considering that noone but him can open the book and learn the magic inside it…
They can still take the book away from him so he can’t use it to get stronger
Sure, they may not know the exact secret, but if he reveals that he can freely transform mana directly via a mana circle in his brain, it’d make the entire magical society flip their lid.
He’d become a target for all sorts of malicious people trying to reproduce his unique constitution and magic, and they’d stop overestimating his strength and realise that he can only use first and second circle magic.
There are already people trying to dig into his methods with powerful abilities. Why do you assume nobody else could discover the core of his secret if he reveals more about it?
What’s wrong with hiding it? Keeping your methods secret is key to not revealing any vulnerabilities. Basic strategy.

Hopefully this point of the plot does not get too repetitive.
Need another causality like, maybe infuse that literal book into his body temporarily since he already successfully became a successor. Thus, even if somehow people woild plot evil plan against him, they can never get the book, and the only threat would be to destroy his Mana channel/abilities; of which would also kill the purpose of making him spew the “tricks” they wanted from him, hence a strategic plot that could branch with many plots from ridiculous plots to awesome plots etc.
Or threathsn with his familys life etc*
