Actually, I’d like an explanation as well. How come it seemed like that lvl 1 hero had a chance to defeat a lvl 999 being?
My guess is that in this world stats from level up aren’t as significant as skills (determined by class and level). Ares as a hero has access to engame holy sword from level 1, so it could probably kill kai with direct hit, but his sworsmanship is low level and kai can dodge it easily. Also kai is waiting for ares to use a big move so he can destroy his sword so he probably holds back a lot during the fight.
