Absolutely retarded. It’s the type of thinking a pre-pubescent teenager would come up with. If this girl ‘killed’ you previous the smart thing would be to steer clear of her in this new life and have a clean break. Say you’re moving back to the countryside or something. Work fast and in silence. Then you can emotion farm after you’ve got everything set up. However, clearly the author is leaving BLATANT plot holes that are so glaringly obvious its ridiculous just to drum up something.

First of all, the plot is literally written to favor the MC. They won’t lose anyway. Second, the whole ‘establish a base first’ is a load of crap. In an apocalypse, nowhere is safe, but sticking to what you know will prevent you from dying instantly to an unknown variable. Third, hell yeah he’s going after the one who killed him. Why would he leave her be when he can torment her from the start? For his own benefit, no less.
