The mc is a mature kid and not just an adult in a kids body or something similar.

Maturity, empathy, and manners also go an incredibly long way.
I can speak from experience from when I was young; When my peers would complain or beg, I would ask kindly, understand their response, and react politely. And nine times out of ten, I'd get what I wanted (or at least a reasonable excuse why not) while my peers would just be denied outright or scolded.
It was the reason I could learn quickly from an early age, because teachers took their time to help me learn. That allowed me to fit in at university at only 15yo, allowing me to get my degree at 17 and kickstarted my career six months later.
I was living in my own apartment in the CBD of my country's capital city at 18yo with a stable career and a fiancée, purely because of a lifetime of empathy, manners, a maturity beyond my years, surrounded by good people, and a healthy dose of luck.
While the last two you can't control, the first three you can.
I think this is a bit exaggerated
