Thirty-two espers awaken with micro-explosives implanted inside their heads, forced to participate in a lethal, real-life game of chess. Divided into two opposing factions, they face a brutal ultimatum: track down and assassinate the enemy team’s designated “King” before the countdown expires, or face total annihilation.

The side that eliminates the opposing King wins the right to live, while the losing faction will be executed instantly by the detonators in their skulls. Armed with unique supernatural abilities and trapped in a relentless psychological war of deduction, betrayal, and slaughter, these young espers must turn their deadly skills against one another in a desperate struggle where survival demands checkmate.
