Synopsis

Born of demon and elf blood, a boy burdened with crushing expectations steps boldly onto a battlefield of ruin and renewal. Driven by an unbreakable obsession, he forges through rivers of molten lava, shatters realms of eternal ice, and battles across barren wastelands, all for a single purpose: to surpass the towering figure far ahead. One day, when he finally drives his blade into the earth and surveys the silence around him, he finds no enemies left standing. Only then does he realize that the insurmountable peak he once chased now lies beneath his feet.

When I read in the comments that there was NTR, I expected something a bit heavier. Like, I thought the girl would play double agent and stab him in the back, or constantly show off to psychologically torment the main character, but it’s not like that. The girl character just leaves the main character after being harassed by the antagonist. And the guy gets obsessed not because he was cheated on, but because he thinks the girl was harmed. Honestly, I don’t know, it really got on my nerves while reading. If something more sneaky had been done or if it had been more full of intrigue, it could have been good they somehow explain it like antagonist did it to shake main characters mind. But when they do it this way, he just comes across as an obsessive ex-boyfriend who can’t accept being left for money. You know, he doesn’t even blame the girl by saying “she cheated on me, she left me” or anything. Because of that, I felt a bit uncomfortable that he was affected this much. Throughout this NTR arc, my interest in the series really dropped. I don’t know, maybe the author is actually succeeding at getting on our nerves and making us feel stress through the main character, and is therefore doing exactly what they’re supposed to do — and the reason we’re complaining so much is that, as readers, we’ve been affected by it.

And there’s also no logical reason for how the girl was able to leave. Even though she’s a slave, it’s not clear how she can just walk away. On top of that, the other side isn’t even offering her anything solid. If it’s money, the main character has money too. If it’s sweet-talking and convincing her, the antagonist treats the girl badly. Blackmail? No, because the main character’s side already knows her past. I don’t get it — so why did she leave?
