Why doesn’t he just marry the woman from the Morse family? I mean it’s a good way to bring the 10 knights together earlier and it benefits them both in the long run. Her family gets its pardon and a revival and he gains easier access to information and whatnot due to his status and the fact his identity is already based around being part of said family.
