Log In to CommentIt's annoying that people are still under the impression that this is how muscles work. It's a long standing myth that muscle fibers tear after working out and then regenerate "double in size" or something. You just use your muscles, and the more you use them, the more signals they send to your brain to make more muscles. Scientists don't actually know what exactly causes muscle fatigue, maybe running out of electrolytes like Na, Cl, and Ca before they can be reuptaken? But it's definitely not because the fibers break.
