As someone who read the original novel....I actually look forward to this, downside, I can't afford the coins for locked chapters. I just hope they get unlocked overtime like on older novel sites etc.
That said, this has a few differences from the Novel.
The basis: This is visual and more informative, while being shorter.
Not too bad, all things considered that it's still mostly true to the novel.
When I first read the novel, I was like many others. I treated MC as a dumbass, I physically cringed at his "acting", etc.
Once you get past the "villain act" part, it becomes more enjoyable.
MC also ends up with more than just 5 heroines. They're "hidden" characters, "lost" characters, and "supporting" characters.
I won't spoil too much, if you're truly eager to read this, I suggest the novel first, at least, you'll get a good idea of it.
One thing I have to praise, the "depression" factor, where they throw you into "tragedies" is so deep that, the first time I read it, I felt just as depressed and incredibly sad. Each one worst than the last.
So, if you don't want your heart strings pulled and yanked like a ship trying to break it's anchor, then don't read.
But if you want the fun, the fantasy, and the immersive read, once you pass the "angsty villain act" part, it's far more fun.
