Great story idea, poor implementation.
Despite the story telling us why the games are important it’s never made to feel like they’re important which is wild. It’s also never really shown why the ranks are so important beyond higher better lower is bullied.

Combat-wise, the Mc keeps getting stronger, but is shown poorly making him feel static. Also his weapon looks stupid, and not cus it’s a gun blade, but because how the gun fires and how they made the gunblade look. Seriously how do you screw up a gunblade this badly? Gun blades are awesome.

I’d say take a peek with the expectation it’s not great
