Bahaha. Yeah, I knew it. This author’s seen someone who’s suffered from psychosocial disconnect, but they haven’t experienced it themselves. There’s always the pause, the moment of realization, and the whole world stops to let it happen. The plot hole.

This world where people take a moment to think— and reality lets them— doesn’t exist. It did in the distant past, but that isn’t modernity. The only way I could go back to accepting society is if I lied to myself with great gusto. Sure, fiction is about worlds where the impossible could happen, but being too unrealistic is nothing less than peddling lies under the guise of storytelling.

Perhaps it’s time I stopped reading dishonest trash.
