I like the intro, but one of the biggest issues with these stories is that unless the MC is an uber nerd they would know who won what battles at best. not any of the tactics necessary to actually win.
You seriously don’t need to be an uber nerd for that.
When you have an interest, you’ll learn a lot about the main battles in history. And if you’re in the army trying to start a career, likely even more so.
