…Holy heck, these teachers are magnificent!
The hardest part with group education is handling multiple levels of aptitude. Especially when you’ve got those who are immensely apt and those who are poorly apt in the same age group for a particular subject.
They immediately recognised the issue and worked together without any BS to create a brand new curriculum as soon as possible, all for the benefit of the students and any future talents.
I’ve only ever seen two teachers like that in the past, IRL. One of them is the person I admire more than anyone else in the world for his strength of character.

This series is awesome. I’m so glad the teachers are this cool.

It seems pretty likely. I wouldn’t say it’s high functioning autism though. The biggest give away is his train of thought. He doesn’t really think of things on a smaller scale which is pretty common for children with autism. To put it simply 3+3 isn’t 6, 1+1+1+1+1+1 is 6. Obviously they’re the same but to someone with autism (like me) and especially a child, it doesn’t seem right at first. So you look for a longer or more drawn out approach and solution to the problem.

Which is why his immediate reaction to the other kids not being able to understand the magic is that they’re sick or there’s something wrong with them and he’d invest time trying to figure out what’s wrong with them instead of thinking that the problem is actually just the magic being far too advanced for a beginner to learn
