The protagonist, Tsurugiya Riku, is a part-timer aspiring to be a novelist. He is struggling to produce results, so he continues to work at a day job and submits his online novels every day. Meanwhile, at a bookstore before work, he has a dramatic reunion with his childhood friend, Himoto Himari, with whom he was separated in high school after missing each other and not being able to express what he wanted to say to her. As if their meeting was a trigger, the world suddenly turns upside down. Magic circles appear, skyscrapers sink, and the interiors of all buildings are “inverted.” Even the monsters that appear in Riku’s novels attack them… Will Riku and Daichi be able to escape the “inverted” tower safely?
