    Bro, this MC is so annoying

    You expect us to believe he's some kind of analytical genius who can deduce all of these situational plans but he can't pick up on the fact that his abilities are miles beyond anyone else's? People keep telling him over and over but he just dismisses them and continues moping because the author wants him to feel like a loser no matter what. They had a decent excuse at first, which is that his master gave him unrealistic expectations so he wouldn't get cocky like she did (she was arrogant and it cost a friend their life), but at this point it's gotten beyond ridiculous
