As if there was even the smallest reason to be afraid. He not even summoned his dragon and won 1v2. There is no reason to think he is injured too. There was no scene who would make this conclusion plausible.
If they had a brain and would use it, then it would be obvious to them what is really behind this baseless conclusions. There are narrow minded and jealous people who can’t see the mountain right before there eyes.

Powerful people tend to have overinflated egos. No one at the school besides his companions have seen his dragons at this point.
